A spectacular panoramic view of the surrounding countryside and equally magnificent sunsets can be viewed from the dining room on Wonderland Inn Restaurant. The restaurant, which is just off the Inn's lobby, is masterfully decorated. The décor combines a feminine touch with the family's love of fishing. Tables are covered with mauve or egg-shell blue table linens, and centered with a vase of mauve and burgundy silk flowers. There is also an abundance of hanging plants throughout the restaurant. On the walls are trophy fish that include Blue Marlin, Mahi Mahi, and other denizens of the sea. There are also elk mounts and oils of the national parks painted by local artists. Breakfast is served from 7:00 to 11:00 a.m. during peak season and from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. November through March. One breakfast favorite is the Wonderland Haystack, a serving of two eggs any style, dices ham, bell peppers, onions, and melted cheese piled high on a stack of hash brown potatoes and served with choice of toast. Another favorite is the Hungry-Man Breakfast. It offers one's choice of bacon, sausage, or ham, and two pancakes, two eggs, and hash brown potatoes. Omelets are always a favorite in the West. Choices include ham and cheese, Western, and Spanish, served with toast and hash browns. The Wonderland Inn also offers an all-one-can-eat breakfast buffet. Lunch is served from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. but only during the peak season. The Wonderland Burger is always a guest favorite. It consists of two beef patties on a bun with cheese, French fries, and a dinner salad. Sandwiches are numerous and include all of the traditionals as well as sandwiches such as the Rueben, Pastrami Burger, and Malibu Chicken. Hot luncheon delights include beef, hamburger, and ham, all served with real mashed potatoes, and French Dip and Fish and Chips, served with French fries. Dinner is served from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. during the peak season and from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. November through March. Dinners at Wonderland Inn Restaurant are elegant, beautifully presented, and quite continental. Two appetizer favorites are the Shrimp Cocktail with house sauce and the Spicy Barbecue Chicken Wings with ranch dressing. Those who relish Cajun cooking love the Inn's Cajun Chicken Salad. Tossed greens are topped with tomatoes, black olives, pineapple chunks, the Inn's special Cajun grilled chicken, and one's choice of dressing. A favorite country steak is the marinated Top Sirloin. Tender, juicy, and broiled to perfection, it is seasoned with a blend of herbs and garlic. Guests at the Wonderland are right in the heart of trout country. It would be ludicrous if one did not try the Inn's wonderful fresh filet of Mountain Rainbow Trout. It is steamed with a light lemon pepper seasoning. A local favorite is the Cowboy's Delight, a specially seasoned ground top sirloin steak that is smothered with sautéed onions and mushrooms. The Wonderland Inn Restaurant takes pride in offering it guests the freshest garden vegetables. In season summer vegetables, straight from local gardens, include peas, beans, zucchini, spaghetti and crook neck squash, tomatoes, and green beans. Only the choicest cuts of meat, fish, and poultry are served. Soups and sauces are prepared from scratch.
